The Cream of The Crop – Featuring ASOS Curve Sweetheart Crop Top.

Hi all!

I’ve been desperately looking for a crop top for quite a long time now but I’ve never found “the one”. Finally, after many months of looking, I came across this sweetheart crop top in scuba fabric from ASOS Curve. Due to the scuba fabric and being big in the bust I decided to go for a size 24 – which was still on the snug side. In fact, a lot of these pictures are taken without even wearing a bra because the top is super tight and keeps everything in the right place.

The cut is sweetheart neck which is very flattering on my bust and shows off a little bit of cleavage.

The crop is long enough to be worn tucked in or with a little bit of skin showing.

The straps are thick enough to offer good support and hide unsightly bra straps (not that you may need one in such a supportive top!)

Short enough to show some skin but also still quite modest!

I’ve tried this with a few skirts, but my favorite to wear it with is this tartan midi skirt from ASOS Curve for a really 90’s grunge look. I bought this also in a 24 as I was unsure of how it would fit, and it’s super roomy and generous.

I wore this outfit to get my hair cut & coloured at Envy in Stockton! This is my first proper haircut since I shaved it off last year and I have to say I love it.

The lady who cut my hair has done exactly as I asked for and I couldn’t be happier – it looks great with my outfit too!

I love this top! It’s slightly daring, cute, and goes with so much stuff in my wardrobe! I’m considering buying an extra as I feel in summer I will live in it!

Missguided Plus – A step in the right direction.

Hi all!

I love that fact that more and more retailers are beginning to expand their existing ranges and include a plus size range! The newest retailer to do this is Missguided. I’m really excited about this because my size is included, the clothes are actually fashionable and best of all – they’re actually affordable. It’s nice to not have to pay absurd prices just for a few inches more fabric. They currently have 70 items available up to a size 24 – these are my favourite pieces.

I’m in love with this collection! It’s actually age appropriate for me unlike some other fashion brands and has some beautiful twin-sets which I’ve wanted for FOREVER. The grid set is definitely going on my Christmas list because I think it’s stunning and I’ll be able to wear it together and separately.

I definitely need to try some of these pieces soon and hope they don’t all sell out – those dogtooth trousers are stunning and I don’t want to miss them!

What do you think of the Missguided + range? Is there anything you’re lusting after?

Pushing the sizes to the max-i. Featuring Primark Maxi Skirt!

Even though I’m a size 22, I still always check in places like Primark for clothes as often things can be big fitting, stretchy or elasticated.

That was the case with this adorable double split maxi skirt I bought for Adam’s birthday trip to London! The maxi skirt was size 20, but I actually had quite a lot of room in it due to an elasticated back. The floral print initially attracted me to this dress as I’m a sucker for flowers, but I also adored the double splits which seem to be everywhere at the moment.

I went for a simple strap top and a big floppy hat to finish my look! I was glad of the hat as London was BOILING!

No wig for me! The heat was far too much to wear a wig.

Me & Adam before heading into Camden!

Camden was incredible! We ate Turkish wraps & crepes, sushi, bubble tea, we went for shisha and smoked vogues and both found perfect items which we were looking for! I’ve been loads of times due to my brother living in London, however Adam was mesmerised by the sheer amount of food/clothes/stalls on offer. We had a fantastic time in Camden and already want to go back!

Perfect for a party! Featuring Simply Be 3D Daisy Organza Dress!

Whilst I was in London I finally got the perfect opportunity to wear my beautiful new dress from Simply Be! I picked up the 3D Daisy Organza Dress a few weeks earlier in the sale and Adam kindly purchased it for me! I beelined to this dress for a few reasons. First things first – pink is my favourite colour. Then there’s the fact it’s covered in daisies, its organza and the back has the cutest cut out detailing! It’s almost like the dress was made for me.

I decided to wear this for my lovely friend Sky’s birthday party in London. I decided to go for a “children’s birthday” kinda theme so I kept it fun and cute with a big white fluffy petticoat, pink shoes with bows, cute frilly ankle socks and allllllll the pink blush!

I love the organza detailing on the shoulder which is super cute and makes the daisies stand out even more! On my lips is MUA Funk which goes perfectly with the dress. I kept my hair as it was and just “funked” it up.

This dress is definitely the perfect party dress.I felt amazing in this dress, and at £33 in the sale it’s a bargain.

08/06/14 Amish Inspired OOTD.

Do you ever just throw something on for ease and comfort and then feel really great in it? This is what happened to me yesterday. I threw on a simple black dress with peep-hole which I purchased from Toni’s blog sale because I was going swimming and wanted something easy to wear which wouldn’t cling to me/my legs when I got out of the pool! As this is a nice midi length on me I don’t actually need tights which is great because putting tights on after swimming is my pet hate! This dress is originally from ASOS curve and has tiny little coloured flecks all over it, and coupled with the peep-hole they make this little black dress something quite interesting! The only downside to this dress is its absolutely massive on my waist. It’s a size 22 but would very easily accommodate up to a 26, so out comes a handy belt to cinch it in!

I then teamed this with my awesome Amish style hat which I bought at Christmas from New Look! In all honesty, I popped it on because I was going swimming and thought it would cover up any messes in the hair department! It looks great with my hair at the moment which is growing back from when I shaved it off for charity! I added some pink/peach this week just for fun and I really love it.10380316_528962967210445_1818201351439890061_n

I have to say I wasn’t expecting such a massive reaction like I got on Instagram! People just seemed to love this outfit which I threw on effortlessly for comfort. It was lovely to have so many kind/supportive comments and that’s what I truly love about the internet and how it brings people together – in particular the plus size blogger movement is so supportive and welcoming, I wouldn’t know where I would be without them as it was others who encouraged me to start blogging in the first place, so thank you!
