An update on life! Featuring allllll the selfies!

Hi all!

So I’ve been quiet lately – and with good reason! I’ve just started a new job in the last few weeks and so I’ve been adjusting myself to my new routine and really focusing on doing well and settling in!

I have to admit, I’m really enjoying myself! The hours have been a pain to get used to (3 – 10:30) but training has been so well taught by wonderful people and I’m lucky that I’ve got a really great bunch of colleagues to work alongside.

It’s been great getting into wearing work attire again! I have my own version which includes cute cardigans and vintage style dresses teamed with a different wig every day!

Another great thing about my colleagues is how accepting they have been of my wig wearing – even asking me to wear new ones and chatting to me about them and making jokes about my “wiggy wisdom”. I’m pretty lucky that I’ve joined with a great group of people into a really great organisation.

So with me working again, all systems will be resuming with loads of new reviews and pretty items for me to share with you all! I’ve got an amazing Voodoo Vixen party coming up, a matching cardigan/bag combo, a whole myriad of items from ASOS and more on the way so watch this space!

Finally, a huge thanks to those who have continued reading my blog this last year, have followed me on various platforms and have supported me along my way. I wouldn’t be doing what i’m doing without those who follow me and so I really appreciate the fact that you think I’m interesting enough to read about!

The Cream of The Crop – Featuring ASOS Curve Sweetheart Crop Top.

Hi all!

I’ve been desperately looking for a crop top for quite a long time now but I’ve never found “the one”. Finally, after many months of looking, I came across this sweetheart crop top in scuba fabric from ASOS Curve. Due to the scuba fabric and being big in the bust I decided to go for a size 24 – which was still on the snug side. In fact, a lot of these pictures are taken without even wearing a bra because the top is super tight and keeps everything in the right place.

The cut is sweetheart neck which is very flattering on my bust and shows off a little bit of cleavage.

The crop is long enough to be worn tucked in or with a little bit of skin showing.

The straps are thick enough to offer good support and hide unsightly bra straps (not that you may need one in such a supportive top!)

Short enough to show some skin but also still quite modest!

I’ve tried this with a few skirts, but my favorite to wear it with is this tartan midi skirt from ASOS Curve for a really 90’s grunge look. I bought this also in a 24 as I was unsure of how it would fit, and it’s super roomy and generous.

I wore this outfit to get my hair cut & coloured at Envy in Stockton! This is my first proper haircut since I shaved it off last year and I have to say I love it.

The lady who cut my hair has done exactly as I asked for and I couldn’t be happier – it looks great with my outfit too!

I love this top! It’s slightly daring, cute, and goes with so much stuff in my wardrobe! I’m considering buying an extra as I feel in summer I will live in it!

Christmas Part Two – Featuring AX Paris

Hi All!

After I went home on Christmas day, I decided to change into something for the evening which was more party attire! I had received this beautiful dress from AX Paris for Christmas and was itching to wear it.

ax paris

With the soft lace capped sleeves, plunging neckline and layers of beautiful petticoats, I was obsessed with this dress from the first second I saw it. Its the perfect gothic princess dress!

I ordered it online and the second I put it on I loved it. The fit and shape of the dress just hug me perfectly and I love the way that my bust fits in nicely with a hint of cleavage.

I genuinely think this dress was made for me. I went for a size 24 as I generally size up in AX Paris and the bust was spot on.

The curved petticoats give the bottom a beautiful fullness without being too over the top. This keeps it wearable but gives an interesting hemline.

The best thing about this dress though is that it is so comfortable! The lace is so soft and comfortable and the slight stretch in the fabric means it fit the body well. I feel incredibly confident in this dress and it’s going to be one that I wear time and time again.

I teamed this dress with a now discontinued wiglet from Geisha wigs called Black forest. I love this wig because the vintage fringe I cut in looks perfect with the ombre curls and everybody always thinks it’s real.

A strong brow, flick of eyeliner, flirty lash and statement lip and I was ready to go.

I got tons of compliments over this dress and can’t wait to wear it again.

What do you think of this dress? Do you have a favorite that you feel amazing in?

Twice as nice – Christmas Part One Featuring Interrobang Art!

Hi All,

This Christmas Day I couldn’t decide what I wanted to wear. Did I want to go kitsch and casual, or dressy and glam? In the end, I decided to go for both looks and just get changed through the day. The first look I went for was Kitsch & Casual so that I would be comfy yet stylish whilst eating my dinner!

I decided to wear my very cute skirt from Interrobang Art! Interrobang are a rad little company I’ve followed on Instagram for about a year now and have always admired but never got round to ordering from until now! I had an etsy gift card for £10 and armed with that and a blogger discount code I got this already reasonable skirt for a steal! The skirts fabric is printed with little pin-up ladies decked out in Christmas attire – making it perfect for the occasion. I got a size large which is size 18-22 but in fairness it would fit a lot bigger than that. In fact, both me and Adam got into the skirt at the same time!

I teamed this dress with my beautiful Christmas Wreath necklace from the fabulous independent Jewellery Designer & maker Hootie McBoutique! I also put on a cute peter pan collar blouse and snuggly green cardigan! I was super comfy and very festive.

My wig of choice was Red Panda which is a gorgeous natural looking red wig with loose waves – perfect with this outfit.

IMG_5554 I definitely chose well with my outfit! It meant I could comfortably stuff my face with my dinner and didn’t feel restricted or uncomfortable!

After dinner I returned home and changed into an amazing dress before returning to my mums! I’ll be posting my next Christmas outfit post this week so keep your eyes peeled!

What did you wear for Christmas? Did you go dressed up or comfy?
