Ding dong the bells are gonna chime!

Hi all!

I’m super super excited because I’ve found out that I have a wedding to attend – yay! I’m even more excited because this wedding is for one of my wonderful family members who I have been waiting years to see walk down the aisle (it’s a long story!) So with that in mind, I’ve decided that I need to go on the hunt for the perfect dress to wear. Any excuse ey.

My first thought was for Pieces Of The Past! They have so many gorgeous vintage style dresses that would be perfect for such a wonderful occasion. Plus, I have a huge wishlist for them with no place to wear them!

My first choice from POTP would be the absolutely stunningly beautiful Ophelia which is currently out of stock, but will be restocked!

I’m absolutely crazy over this dress! The teal background, the contrasting ruched bust-line, the vintage floral pattern – this dress really has it all and is an absolute bargain. I imagine this with a little cap sleeve bolero, some t bar nude shoes and deep sultry red lips. Hopefully it will come back into stock soon and I can snap it up!

Also catching my eye on Pieces Of The Past is this lovely floral Yulia dress! I adore the sweetheart neckline of this and it is cut very similar to my lovely Floral Jive Dress also from POTP! I have the perfect orange/coral lippie that would make this dress pop and think it would look fantastic twirling around on the dance floor!

Another beautiful dress company is Collectif who make stunning vintage reproduction dresses. I have two of their dresses currently and the quality of them is absolutely incredible.

Faye Floral Doll Dress Black

The Faye Floral Doll Dress is absolutely to die for and goes up to a UK 28-30! This dress has stunning applique flowers, velvet trim, a tulle overlay and a lovely keyhole fastening to the back. This dress retails at a huge £115, however it’s currently on sale at £65 and I’m very tempted to snap it up! Even though it’s dark for a wedding, I could add some bright heels, a little bolero or blingy cape-let and some seriously red lips.

One dress I’m truly obsessed with and keep considering ordering is the Scarlett & Jo Black Floral Print Prom Dress which is absolutely dreamy.

My family aren’t the biggest fans of tattoos, so the mesh sleeves would be a brilliant way to try and cover some up without being too covered up – if that makes any sense?! The mesh top and sweetheart neckline is a great way to show a hint of cleavage whilst still being family friendly and I personally think I really suit mesh items. The print is beautiful, a real vintage floral without being too clustered or too busy. The colours are simple yet work so well together giving a real understated simple elegance to the dress. I love that the dress has a waist tie as I’m bigger on top and so dresses often need to be pulled in, however I dislike big bulky belts! This dress would look wonderful with some semi sheer black tights, statement heels, a beautiful vintage style up do and of course – classic red lips. This may be the one!

Do you like any of these dresses? Which one do you think I should order? Comment below and let me know!

Hitting the fatwalk.

Hi all!

A couple of months ago I mentioned that my lovely friend who owns Vintageous Rags had asked me to be a model in her fashion show as she wanted a whole range of shapes and sizes! I’d never actually walked in a show before, but I thought – why not! On the day i went and got my hair styled (and cut) at The Copper House who managed to cut the most amazing Bettie bangs I’ve ever had. I really need to try and get in with them again as they’re incredible. I was then passed along to get my makeup professionally done by Kim Blair MUA who is brilliant at what she does. She made my skin (and people with worst) look absolutely flawless and my makeup lasted all day through to the night.

Makeup by Kim Blair, Hair by The Copper House.

I then stepped into my outfits for the show! My first and absolute fave outfit is this retro 70’s style swing dress which I loved so much that Adam bought me it for Christmas.

The dress is a vintage size 18 and fits really well. It hung slightly off my chest but I have since rectified this….

..By adding a thin brown belt which makes the dress more flattering!

The second look I modeled was a glittery high necked crop top, teamed with a huge, 80’s style over sized embellished cardigan. I can’t stress how big this cardigan is, I look a lot bigger than I am here and I assure you – It’s mostly cardigan! I added the faux leather skirt and fishnets myself to finish the look. The skirt is from Primark for £8 and is a size 18.

I have to admit I felt really nervous doing this, as the one fat girl in a sea of slim girls but in all honesty I really really enjoyed myself and was gutted when it was over!

Myself and my other half have stayed firm lovers of Vintageous Rags, who not only sell in-store, but also on their instagram and on ASOS Marketplace – but you have to be quick as things sell very quickly! I think what I love about VR is that their owner tries to find Plus sized items, and will always keep a look out for specific items if you ask her, which is brilliant customer services in my book!

Thanks for reading!

Donut you wish your girlfriend was sweet like me? OOTD.

Hi, and a very happy Valentines day to all you lovely people out there! Today I want to do a quickie outfit post of some absolutely adorable items I’m wearing today! It was completely co-incidental that I decided to wear such a pink outfit today. I’ve been living in black/comfy clothes this week due to dislocating my hip that I fancied wearing something pretty and girly – and there’s nothing prettier or girlier than my beautiful new jumper from Primark! I actually bought the grey previously but still lusted after the pink which I’d originally tried on. I bought the jumper in a size 14 and it’s still super roomy! If you get one of these gorgeous jumpers – SIZE DOWN THEY ARE HUGE. I’m a size 22, and the 14 is BIG on me. I adore the collar on this jumper – I’m all about crocheted collars, and the pearls just finish it off beautifully! The skirt is super comfy and goes with so many things in my wardrobe! It’s supposed to be leather look but it’s more satin style than anything.

How amazing are these donut socks! They definitely appeal to this fatty!tumblr_n0zfplE31U1qh7lbvo3_500

Hair bows to finish the look off!

I feel well and truly pretty in pink in this outfit! This jumper is a must buy for anybody and will take you through spring as it is lightweight and adorable. Plus, pastels are going to be huge.

Hope you all have a lovely Valentines day!

Va-Va Voom Feat ASOS Curve

Sorry for the break in blogging, I’ve been feeling really pap lately due to my EDS and in all honestly I haven’t really felt up to blogging! So, to cheer myself up I’ve decided to blog about a dress which makes me feel on top of the world and a million dollars every time I wear it! The dress is the ASOS Curve Pencil Dress with Ruched Wrap and is one of the more revealing items in my wardrobe! The dress features both a plunging v neckline as well as a front split which can be a little “much”. I went for a size 22 in this dress, which is a perfect fit on most of me (although it gets quite tight at the top and takes some effort). Any bigger and I think I would loose the lovely cling to my curves. I paid a tiny £16!!!!!! (I originally went to buy it when it was £40 but decided to wait and see if it came down – which paid off) for this dress in the sale, which is a bargain. They also have it in blue for £20.

I have worn this dress twice so far!

1469741_471295822977160_156358964_n 1520821_471295676310508_895919757_n 1525498_471296122977130_1779151908_nThe first time for my anniversary meal with my other half! Adam loves this dress on me and it’s easy to see why! There is a LOT of bust showing. It was quite distracting trying to eat with so much on display, I felt slightly uncomfortable. The rest of the dress I DO love though! It skims my hourglass/apple figure nicely and it feels really love on. It comes to my knee which is a great length, and the split means it’s not too restrictive!

The second time I wore this dress I went for a simple t-shirt bra to calm the cleavage down and popped on some pink lipstick and pink shoes! I wore it out for a student night I had helped organise and this was a more fitting venue for the dress – although it did attract a lot of the wrong attention. What is it with men who literally can’t keep their eyes/hands to themselves when you have a bit of boob on show? Its pretty annoying really – as was the guy who tried to put his hand down my dress between my boobs. I swiftly removed himself from me and thankfully had him removed from the premises but what gave him the right to even try? Apparently he said to the bouncers “surely I can touch a girls tits if I buy her a drink” which is both absolutely digustingrapeapologeticvileness and bloody degrading to women. For the record he didn’t buy me a drink, nor would I allow him to.

Anyway sorry about the rant!

The dress stayed lovely all night without creasing which is down to the super thick jersey fabric, which also helps to nip you in a little! This is definitely my “va-va-voom” dress and will sit and wait in my wardrobe for occasions when I need a little “boost” or want to look super sultry.

I’ve just had a complete and utter overhaul on my blog thanks to my wonderful friend Dave, what do you think??

Magnificent 7th – Date Night!

“We will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!”

So, I decided that I would join in on the Magnificent 7th monthly challenge as I wanted to involve myself more within the blogging community! This is my first challenge, and the theme is “Date Night”. Me and Adam try to go on at least one date a week, or cook a nice meal and have an early night in. This outfit is focused on the latter! I decided to opt for underwear because I had some new bits to show off, and because dates are when you wear your extra special undies just in case somebody gets to see them!

I blogged previously about some undies I got from Yours Clothing. At the same time, I actually picked up the Black Mesh And Lace Underwired Chemise, however I got Adam to order this from his account so I could get another £10 off with a blogger code. Sneaky! So after the discount and free click an collect I got it for £20 – not too shabby!

I decided to team my chemise with this beautiful kimono from The Velvet Kimono Company (I added the fringing) for a soft romantic edge to the “outfit”. I also added some Ann Summers seamed stockings and some incredibly high laced up shoes from ASOS.

The Chemise has a darker patterned panel down the front which matches the cups and creates a curvy illusion.

The sides are completely sheer with only the side seams to break it up!

The cups have this pretty crystal detailing between them. The cup size here is F/G and I really could of done with a bigger size (which they don’t do) to stop double boob occurring! The cups also fit funny and are a bit flimsy. It could of done with being constructed as a proper bra with the extra stomach panel.

It’s not too bad though, and the fit and support is superb everywhere else so it’s not too bad. Plus, it’s more of a bedroom piece than a “wear all day every day” piece so it doesn’t really matter.

Stockings are always a plus in my book and these suspenders are easy to apply and are sturdy!

The back is completely sheer with this adorable cut out feature!

This is the first “all in one” I’ve owned that’s gone remotely near to fitting my boobs in so I’m over the moon to of found something! Hopefully they will bring more out in a range of different colours, textures, patterns and hopefully, bigger cup sizes!!! I feel really confident in this piece despite how much is sheer and I will definitely get plenty of wear out of it!

IMG_4148       I’m definitely overdressed compared to my date!!

You can find me on Facebook, and you can check out other bloggers doing the challenge!
