This week I’m loving….ASOS Curve!

Hi all!

Another crazy month! I’ve come to realise that my job is something that I’m constantly having to be doing and honestly…I love it that way! Fresher’s week was amazing. Busy, but so so worth it!

Anyway, seeing as I now work and have a decent wage I’ve been treating myself, and one of the sites I’m loving is ASOS Curve! They always have amazing sales and deals on and are quite reasonably priced..unlike the likes of Simply Be etc who I find really amp the prices up for what you get!

So I did two ASOS orders. My first order was small (ish) and I got…

This mesh body in a size 20! The material is super soft and the body is actually quite long so it’s comfortable! I really love wearing this with my Primark pleather skater skirt which I snapped up for £8!

(I know this isn’t technically ASOS, but they sell Primark!!)I bought a size 18 which is actually extremely roomy and comfortable. I’ve come to learn that I totally vary from shop to shop and I just buy the size which fits!

Next item which I bought is a pair of patent red flatforms which I snapped up for an amazing £12.50. I have to be extremely careful with heels and never ever get to wear them due to being flat footed and having EDS. HOWEVER – these are so so comfy and I can actually wear them around town which is amazing!

I’ve been rocking a more 90’s grunge look lately and these really do the job!

Last thing I ordered with this lot is this adorable polka-dot skater skirt! I love teaming this with my cute old Primark cardi and a simple top! I feel amazing in this skirt.

I was so so pleased with this ASOS order that I decided to order more!

My next order, I went for this ADORABLE dungaree dress from Alice & You! I’ve been looking for the perfect tartan dress for a while now and this one is beautiful. The material is soft and of good quality and the fit is great..although I could maybe of sized down!

I teamed it with this gorgeous origami collared blouse which I’ve had my eye on for ages! I actually ordered this in cream but this was the best image! I ordered the 24 as per the size guide and it is HUGE. There’s no size 22 so I’ll keep it. I’ll only ever wear it tucked in so it’s not TOO bad!

I can also wear this blouse with the heart print peg leg trousers I bought. I bought these in a 22 and they are rather big! They have so much stretch in them too but they’re comfy! I know in future to go for a 20!

I think the shirt/trouser combination looks great together and it really looked good together for work!

Every girl needs a little black dress, so I bought this sleeveless swing dress with the intention of dressing it up and down through winter with chunky knits, cute hats and thick patterned tights! The dress is of really nice quality and feels lovely.

My last outfit is these floral print leggings which I’ve teamed with a New Look red peplum top. I could never have too many peplum tops! The leggings are super comfy in a size 20 and are nice and thick, and the top in a size 20 actually covers my boobs with ease (never an easy task!!!) Not sure I will keep this as an outfit together. I have a nice long line strap top with a mesh back which I may wear with the leggings and I have my eye on a black/white polka dot skirt in Primark to go with the top!

So all in all an amazing haul from ASOS curve! No issues with the delivery and really great high quality clothes. No doubt I’ll be doing another order next month…

This week i’m loving…Lingerie!

Hi all!

Each week, I’m going to hopefully pop up a post about garments/accessories that I’m loving this week, and my picks that I would purchase!

So my first segment, is going to be Lingerie!

I find it very difficult to find underwear. I’m a 38-GG/H or a 40-GG and it’s very difficult to find bra’s that fit nicely. However, I have recently found a company which I am absolutely head over heels with. Affinitas.

I found Affinitas through tumblr and have been lusting after them for weeks, and then I found a great UK stockist – Frilly Knickers. The bra’s go up to a 40-G with co-ordinates up to XXL which would be perfect for me. This is literally one of the few companies I know of that does such beautiful underwear, at a decent price, and up to a 40 back!!

The first Affinitas bra I looked at was the Alexis. The bra itself isn’t the most amazing thing, but those knickers are to die for.

Alexis Moulded Padded Bra Blacl Alexix High Waist Brief Black

The bra is a padded plunge which is rare in a big cup! I find bigger cupped bra’s to generally be old lady-ish and I’ve struggled to find a good “cleavagey” bra! I think this one would be perfect. I love the lace vs satin material and think it would be great under most dresses. The knickers…well they just speak for themselves. High waisted, lace with satin with a little beaded detailing. Perfection. This bra goes for £36 and the Knickers £18. For the look and quality of them I find that to be a really good deal.

The next affinitas set I love is the Charlotte Parfait. Available in a few colour combinations, It’s a great option for many. I love the peach/black and the red/black.

The bra is a great plunge bra (also comes in a balconet too) and once again comes with stunning satin high-waisted knickers as an option. This bra comes in at £30 and the knickers £14. Another affordable set.

The last set – and possibly my favourite is the Danielle. Silky satin in a beautiful Jewel tone purple and trimmed in a stunning gray lace – this set just oozes feminine glamour.

The bralette gives great support for a larger cup and the straps are detachable. The knickers are absolutely stunning and I adore the button detailing. This set is £38 for the bralette and £22 for the knickers. Slightly more pricey but definitely still worth it.

So, all in all there’s a few bits I’m going to buy come pay-day! I love new underwear – I think it’s important to feel good in what you wear and I’ll definitely feel good in these!!

Hollie Charles Shoot

Hi all!

I recently helped my friend Hollie Charles build her portfolio by letting her take some snaps of me (and lois)! All the dresses i’m wearing are Lady V London – two of which I purchased with a gift voucher I won from their “Hall Of Fame” competition. Photo shoots are always a HUGE confidence boost for myself, and I would always recommend that people take part in them because they really make you look at yourself from another perspective.

Here are the snaps I loved from the shoot!

The first set was taken outside and I am wearing the Lady V London Wiggle Dress in a 20-22! This dress is cut a lot more generously than I imagined!

The next dress is a dress I got in the sale, and isn’t online anymore. This is the Ditsy print swing dress in a size 22.

Also another that’s sadly no longer online is this lovely swing dress in Damson. Also a size 22!

And rounding off the dresses (and also no longer online) is this black with white spot tea dress. I’m in two minds about the tea dresses. They’re a great length and the back is so cute but the torso is just so long on me and makes a weird fit – SO I have to tuck it down and pull the belt in. The neckline is also a little too wide for me and so the facing often rolls up and looks awful. There’s a few snaps of my cat Lois here too! She’s lovely 🙂

So! That was my shoot. Hair and make-up was by me and was just thrown on. I don’t believe for one minute that I’m a model – or could ever be a model, however if anybody every asked I’d definitely snap their hand off!
